"Piaţa de capital" Scientific Paper Session

Now in its 5th edition, “Piata de capital” Scientific Paper Session brought together in Timisoara over 40 experts in the capital market field, analysts and professors.

Organized by SIF Banat-Crisana together with the West University of Timisoara on the 8th of June 2007, the session represented an excellent opportunity for the active players on the capital market and the persons who study this market to present the theoretical and practical aspects of portfolio management, domestic and international markets, research and analysis instruments of portfolios, of investment valuation, and so on.

We mention some of the participants: Ioan Cuzman – Chairman and CEO SIF Banat-Crisana, Ion Stancu – professor at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Ion Trenca – professor at the Babes Bolyai University in Cluj, Emil Cazan, Ioan Mihai, Nicolae Bibu, Bogdan Dima, Carmen Corduneanu, Radu Moleriu – professors at Universities in Timisoara, Gheorghe Badescu – ANEVAR, IVSC Vice-chairman, Doru Puiu Tiberiu – Director IROVAL, Mihai Caruntu – Head of research department at BCR-ERSTE Bank, Sorin Marinescu – director AMARIS & Goldberg, Pavel Farcas, Daniel Manate, Daniela Turcas, Doina Vant, Paul Pescar and Dan Buda - SIF Banat-Crisana, Adrian Nitu – Aurel Vlaicu University in Arad, Florin Turcas – IFB Finwest.

Over 40 papers prepared for the session will be gathered in a publication that will be published in the conference magazine in July.

10th anniversary and 7 years of listing

On November 1, 2006, SIF Banat-Crisana celebrated its 10th anniversary and 7 years of listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

In Bucharest the anniversary event was marked on November 1 by ringing the opening bell at the Bucharest Stock Exchange by Ioan Cuzman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. SIF Banat-Crisana’s achievements over the last 10 years were presented to a large audience formed of Bucharest Stock Exchange staff, brokers, media, followed by a press conference held by Ioan Cuzman – Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Ion Stancu – Board member, Carmen Dumitrescu – Deputy General Director – Development and Gabriela Grigore – Deputy General Director – Operations.

The next day, the anniversary was celebrated at the company headquarters in Arad by a press conference followed by a ceremony to award merit diplomas to the employees with 10 years service in the company.

SIF Banat-Crisana was honored to sponsor in this period the National Olympiad Contest of Students in Economics, conferring total prizes of RON 7,500 to the students, contest winners in Bucharest, Oradea, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca.
